Why can’t i cap in rhino?
Rhino needs to have a closed, planar curve to create a cap surface. If an extrusion of a theoretically closed planar curve doesn’t cap, even though you chose Extrude from the solid menu or clicked cap=yes in the command line, there are one of two things wrong… 2) it isn’t really planar.

What is loft in rhino?
The Loft command fits a surface through selected profile curves that define the surface shape. Select the curves in the order in which the surface should pass through them. Continue to adjust the seam points until they line with each other and the closed curves all have the same direction, and then press Enter.
Why is my extrusion not solid Rhino?
Extruding the curve won’t result in a solid, because you’ve not told rhino what shape to make the bottom and top surfaces, as they are not planar. To get around this, split the surface with the curves, then use ExtrudeSrf instead.
What is planar curve Rhino?
The Planar command limits successive picked locations to the same construction plane elevation as the previous location. Planar mode aids in creating planar objects with commands that allow free picking. Successive points have the same construction plane elevation.
What is a Polysurface in rhino?
A polysurface consists of two or more surfaces that are joined together. A polysurface that encloses a volume of space defines a solid. Some Rhino commands create polysurface solids. Pyramid, Cone, and TruncatedCone are examples of commands that create polysurface solids.
What is a non manifold Polysurface Rhino?
Non – Manifold Edges are edges in contact with more than two surfaces. There is an extra surface within the model that is not necessary for defining its boundary.
